Published 27 October 2026. Prices are Medical Outfitters ranges for a system delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set, quoted individually for every site, and they are the GE rows of our ultrasound machine cost guide and portable ultrasound machine price guide as published on 26 October 2026. Platform facts are GE HealthCare’s published product information; the configuration of a specific unit is confirmed from its system data before we quote. Written by the Medical Outfitters sales and field engineering team.

Quick answer: A GE ultrasound machine costs $35,000 to $90,000 refurbished for a Logiq, Voluson or Vivid cart and $15,000 to $40,000 refurbished for a Logiq e, Vivid iq or Venue portable, delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set by Medical Outfitters through MO Select; Medical Outfitters does not sell GE systems new, and the current GE carts are estimated at $90,000 to $200,000 new and the portables at $35,000 to $60,000, comparison only.

A GE ultrasound machine costs $35,000 to $90,000 refurbished for a Logiq, Voluson or Vivid cart and $15,000 to $40,000 refurbished for a Logiq e, Vivid iq or Venue portable, delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set. Refurbished, that is a Logiq E9, Voluson E8 or Vivid E9 at the bottom of the cart band, a Logiq S8, Voluson S8 or Vivid S70 in the middle and a Logiq E10, Voluson E10 or Vivid E95 at the top; on the portable side, a Logiq e at the bottom and a Vivid iq or Venue at the top. Every GE system we supply is pre-owned and rebuilt through MO Select, our in-house refurbishment program. Medical Outfitters does not sell GE ultrasound systems new and does not source them new, and the new figures on this page are estimates printed for comparison. These are the GE rows of our ultrasound machine cost guide and portable ultrasound machine price guide, gathered on one page.

GE HealthCare holds one of the largest ultrasound installed bases in the United States, and its families map onto caseloads: Logiq for general imaging, Voluson for women’s health, Vivid for cardiology and Venue for point of care, with the Vscan Air handheld below them. That is why a GE ultrasound price is mostly a question of family, generation and probe set, and why GE has one of the deepest supplies of refurbished carts and probes on the used market. This guide covers what a GE ultrasound machine costs by class, by model, by family and generation, and by configuration, what MO Select includes, what a new GE costs, how GE compares with Philips, Siemens, Canon and Fujifilm, what the probes cost to own, and which GE ultrasound to buy.

Pricing

How Much Does a GE Ultrasound Machine Cost?

A GE ultrasound machine price is set by the class of system first and the family second, because a Logiq, Voluson or Vivid cart shares one band whatever the badge says, and the probe set moves a quote more than the model name does. The figures are Medical Outfitters ranges for a system delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set; a refurbished GE saves 40 to 60 percent against the new system on the same platform.

GE ultrasound machine cost in 2026, Medical Outfitters all-in ranges, the GE rows of the ultrasound machine cost guide’s manufacturer table; the new rows are estimates of current list pricing printed for comparison, not a Medical Outfitters offer.

The same question arrives as GE ultrasound machine price, GE ultrasound price, GE ultrasound cost, GE ultrasound machine cost, GE Logiq price, GE Voluson price, GE Vivid price and GE Venue price, and the table answers all of them. Searches for a GE ultrasound machine for sale or a used GE ultrasound machine land on the refurbished rows, which is how Medical Outfitters supplies GE; our current units are on the ultrasound machines for sale page and in the ultrasound machines category. A GE figure quoted without delivery, training and a warranty is an equipment-only price, and a figure quoted without the probe list is not a usable number at all.

Equipment-only prices vs the all-in GE ultrasound price

Most GE ultrasound prices published online are equipment-only figures for a console with one or two probes, which is why they read lower than a delivered, installed and warrantied system. The comparison below puts the two side by side for the classes GE sells into; column A is a comparison estimate, not a Medical Outfitters price.

ClassA. Typical published equipment-only range (comparison estimate)B. Medical Outfitters all-in bandC. What the difference buys
Portable / compact$8,000 to $30,000$15,000 to $40,000 refurbishedTested probe set, cart or stand, delivery, applications training, warranty with probe cover
Cart-based / premium$15,000 to $75,000$35,000 to $90,000 refurbished (GE rows; the class band starts at $30,000)Full probe set tested, software licenses confirmed, delivery and setup, DICOM to PACS, training, warranty with probe cover

Averages hide the generation split. Across the GE carts we quote, the previous-generation Logiq E9, Voluson E8 and Vivid E9 outnumber the current E10 and E95 systems on the used market, so a typical refurbished GE cart lands in the lower half of the $35,000 to $90,000 band, and a typical GE portable is a Logiq e or a Venue in the lower half of the $15,000 to $40,000 band. An average GE ultrasound price quoted without the family and the probe set is not a usable number.

Price List

GE Ultrasound Machine Price by Model (2026): Logiq, Voluson, Vivid, Venue and Vscan

The GE ultrasound machine price list below places the twelve GE systems we refurbish, and the Vscan Air handheld we do not supply, inside the bands above. Every GE console is rebuilt through MO Select, tested probe by probe, delivered and installed by our own team and covered by a written warranty with the probes inside it. Each row’s new figure is an estimated list price for GE’s current platform in that class, printed for comparison only; an out-of-production platform carries no new figure.

GE ultrasound machine price by model, Medical Outfitters ranges delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set; the rows are the GE rows of the ultrasound guide’s model, cardiac and portable tables.

Three notes on the rows. A GE Logiq E9 price and a GE Logiq E10 price sit a generation apart: the E9 was GE’s premium general imaging cart from 2008 to 2018, now out of production and priced at $35,000 to $55,000 with its probe set, and the E10 succeeded it on GE’s cSound software beamformer and prices at $60,000 to $90,000; a GE Logiq price for the shared-service S8 sits in the E9 band on a current platform. A GE Voluson E10 price follows the volume probe more than the console: the E10 is the women’s health flagship at $60,000 to $90,000, the E8 and S8 are the value entries, and a 4D volume probe is $3,000 to $9,000 tested refurbished or $8,000 to $18,000 new on top of a console that lacks one. A GE Vivid E95 price is a cardiac cart price, $60,000 to $90,000 with a phased array probe, the full Doppler suite and the cardiac package; the Vivid S70 and the out-of-production Vivid E9 are the mid-range and value entries, and the Vivid iq is the one GE cardiac system that travels.

Families

GE Ultrasound Price by Family and Generation: Logiq, Voluson, Vivid, Venue and Vscan

GE names its ultrasound systems by caseload, and the family decides the probe set and the licensed packages before the price does. A Logiq and a Voluson of the same generation share a band; what differs is which probes and which packages the quote has to carry.

Used GE ultrasound price by generation

Generation is the quickest way to place a used GE ultrasound inside its band before the probe list is known. The groups below are the GE rows of our ultrasound and portable guides sorted by platform age, refurbished, delivered, installed and warrantied.

GenerationPlatformsRefurbished, all-inStatus
Previous premium generation, 2008 to about 2018Logiq E9, Voluson E8, Vivid E9$35,000 to $55,000Out of production; the value entry to a GE premium cart; probes and parts still widely available
Mid-range shared-service generation, 2012 onLogiq S8, Voluson S8, Vivid S70$35,000 to $60,000 (Logiq S8 $35,000 to $55,000; Voluson S8 $35,000 to $50,000; Vivid S70 $40,000 to $60,000)Current platforms; the mid-range price on a current probe family
Current premium generation, 2015 onLogiq E10, Voluson E10, Vivid E95$60,000 to $90,000Current; the top of the GE refurbished band
Portable and point of care, 2006 onLogiq e (NextGen), Vivid iq, Venue and Venue Go$15,000 to $40,000 (Logiq e $15,000 to $28,000; Venue $22,000 to $40,000; Vivid iq $25,000 to $40,000)Current; the Logiq e anchors the bottom of the portable band, the Vivid iq and the Venue the top
Handheld, currentVscan Air CL and SLNot suppliedNot sold by Medical Outfitters; a market reference under the handheld band

Two cautions carry across every generation. On an out-of-production platform (Logiq E9, Voluson E8, Vivid E9) the question is probe supply and software support, because the probes are what wear and a platform the manufacturer no longer builds is the one whose probes get scarce first; on a current platform the question is the licensed packages, which are tied to the console and do not always transfer with a used system. The used imaging equipment inspection checklist covers both, and our guide to where to buy a refurbished ultrasound machine covers the seller.

Configurations

GE Ultrasound Price by Configuration: Probes, Packages, Software and Condition

A GE quote is described by four things: the probe list, by name and frequency range; the licensed packages; the software release; and the condition of the probes, ports, screen and battery. The table places each configuration inside its band, and the probe figures under it are Medical Outfitters ranges for a probe supplied with the system or added to it.

GE ultrasound probe cost: new, refurbished and repair

A GE ultrasound probe costs $3,000 to $30,000 new depending on the type, $1,000 to $15,000 as a tested refurbished probe and $400 to $6,000 to repair, which is why the probe set decides where a quote lands inside the band and why a failed probe is tested before it is replaced. The ranges are the probe rows of our ultrasound guide.

Probe typeNew OEM probeTested refurbished probeRepair, arranged through our service team
Curvilinear, linear, phased array$3,000 to $12,000$1,000 to $6,000$400 to $2,500
Endocavity$4,000 to $12,000$1,500 to $6,000$500 to $2,500
3D/4D volume$8,000 to $18,000$3,000 to $9,000$800 to $3,500
TEE (transesophageal)$15,000 to $30,000$6,000 to $15,000$1,500 to $6,000
  • The probe list. Probes are where GE ultrasound value sits: a Logiq E10 quoted with two probes and the same console quoted with five are not the same purchase, and GE probes are platform-specific, so a probe bought for an E9 does not run on an E10 even when the connector fits. Ask for the probe list by name and frequency range, and an air scan on the two you will use most; how to choose an ultrasound probe works through the decision exam by exam.
  • Licensed packages. Elastography, contrast imaging and advanced vascular on the Logiq, 3D and 4D on the Voluson, strain, stress echo and TEE on the Vivid, and needle guidance on the Venue are licensed per console and do not always transfer with a used system; confirm which licenses move with the unit before the price is agreed.
  • Software release. A console on the current release has years of support ahead and runs the current probe family; an earlier release decides which modes and which probes the system can use, and an out-of-production platform prices at the bottom of its band whatever its hours.
  • Condition. Element dropout on the probes (found by an air scan), worn probe port assemblies, a dim or cracked display and, on a portable, the battery’s charge capacity are what a survey finds, and they move a quote down or take a unit off the list; ultrasound probe faults, testing and repair covers the test.
  • Cart, peripherals and connectivity. A docking cart for a Venue or a Vivid iq, a printer, a gel warmer, and whether the unit sends images to the PACS by DICOM over Wi-Fi or by cable are each a line in the quote, and sometimes separate on used systems.
MO Select

MO Select Refurbished GE Ultrasound: What Is Included

MO Select is the Medical Outfitters line of certified pre-owned imaging systems, and GE and Siemens are the two makes we refurbish through it, because their installed bases keep probes, parts and engineers plentiful. A GE console carries the badge only after our own engineers have rebuilt it and tested it, probe by probe, against the manufacturer specification; the quote states the scope in writing, so there is no guessing about what arrives on the truck.

  • The system, tested to specification: the console, the probe ports and the power supply tested, every probe tested one by one with an air scan for element dropout, the software release and the licensed packages confirmed on the unit, and on a portable the battery and the dock.
  • Delivery, setup and DICOM to the PACS or the EHR, across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean; ultrasound needs no shielding, no special power and no structural work, so an ultrasound room is a fraction of an MRI or CT installation.
  • Applications training and a written warranty with the probes inside it, and a service plan offered in the same quote through the engineers who rebuilt the system; our ultrasound service page explains the plan shapes.
  • Probes quoted as part of the system, never as an extra: the quote names each probe with its frequency range, and a probe added later is $1,000 to $6,000 tested refurbished for the common types.

The refurbished imaging equipment page explains what every MO Select system includes, refurbished versus OEM certified explains how an MO Select rebuild differs from a manufacturer-refurbished unit, and current GE units are on the ultrasound machines for sale page. If you are replacing rather than adding, we also buy used imaging equipment.

New Systems

New GE Ultrasound Price: Logiq E10, Voluson E10, Vivid E95, Venue and Vscan Air

Medical Outfitters does not sell GE ultrasound systems new and does not source them new; our new-equipment range is Fujifilm and Fujifilm Sonosite, and every GE system we supply is pre-owned, refurbished through MO Select. The new bands on this page are estimates of current list pricing, printed for comparison only: $90,000 to $200,000 for the current GE carts and $35,000 to $60,000 for the current GE portables, the new cells of our ultrasound guide’s GE rows.

  • Logiq E10 and Logiq S8. The current premium and mid-range general imaging carts, estimated at $120,000 to $200,000 and $90,000 to $120,000 new; refurbished through MO Select at $60,000 to $90,000 and $35,000 to $55,000.
  • Voluson E10 and Voluson S8. The current women’s health carts, estimated at $130,000 to $200,000 and $90,000 to $120,000 new; refurbished at $60,000 to $90,000 and $35,000 to $50,000.
  • Vivid E95 and Vivid S70. The current cardiac carts, estimated at $120,000 to $200,000 and $90,000 to $130,000 new; refurbished at $60,000 to $90,000 and $40,000 to $60,000.
  • Venue, Venue Go, Vivid iq and Logiq e. The current point-of-care and portable systems, estimated at $35,000 to $60,000 new for the Venue and the Vivid iq and $35,000 to $50,000 for the Venue Go and the Logiq e; refurbished at $15,000 to $40,000.
  • Vscan Air CL and SL. GE’s dual-head handheld; Medical Outfitters does not supply handheld scanners, so no figure is published, and the handheld class runs $4,000 to $12,000 refurbished and $9,000 to $18,000 new as a market reference.
  • The alternatives sold new: as an authorized Fujifilm dealer Medical Outfitters sells the ARIETTA 650, 750 and 850 DeepInsight carts new at $90,000 to $130,000, $115,000 to $160,000 and $145,000 to $200,000, the Lisendo 880 cardiovascular system at $140,000 to $200,000, the ARIETTA 50 and ARIETTA 65 compact carts at $40,000 to $60,000 and $50,000 to $70,000 and the Sonosite ZX point-of-care system at $35,000 to $60,000, each with the manufacturer warranty; they are priced on the ultrasound guide’s price list.

Comparison

GE vs Philips, Siemens, Canon and Fujifilm Ultrasound Price

Brand moves an ultrasound quote inside the band rather than between bands: a refurbished GE Logiq E10, a refurbished Philips EPIQ Elite and a refurbished Siemens Acuson Sequoia all sit at $60,000 to $90,000 with their probe sets, and the mid-range carts from every maker sit in the $35,000 to $60,000 band. What separates two quotes is the probe set, the licensed packages, the software release and the support horizon, and what separates two makers is the probe supply and the fact that probes do not cross platforms. The table places each GE family against its competitors, refurbished, from the ultrasound guide’s manufacturer, cardiac and portable tables.

GE has one of the deepest refurbished supplies of carts and probes in the United States, which is why Logiq, Voluson and Vivid systems are the ones we refurbish rather than source. The Voluson family is the dedicated women’s health line in that table, and a practice standardized on Voluson tends to stay on it because its volume probes and 3D/4D packages do not cross platforms. And the Vivid line’s cardiac packages and TEE probes are the reason a Vivid E95 and a Philips EPIQ CVx are priced as a pair. On image quality at the same class the premium systems from every maker compare well; the practical rule in our ultrasound guide’s manufacturer section is that switching maker means replacing the whole probe set, which is worth more over ten years than the price difference between consoles. Philips, Canon, Mindray and Samsung systems are sourced refurbished on request and quoted to the same standard, and the Fujifilm systems are sold new as an authorized dealer. The Philips systems in that table are priced together on our Philips ultrasound machine price guide.

Running Cost

GE Probe Cost, Service and Running Cost

Ultrasound is usually the least expensive major modality to own: no magnet, no cryogen, no X-ray tube and no shielded room. On a GE system the recurring cost sits almost entirely in the probes, and the service decision is a probe decision.

  • Probe repair and replacement. The dominant cost. Probes are dropped, cables fail and elements drop out; a repair is $400 to $6,000 by type and a tested refurbished replacement $1,000 to $15,000, against $3,000 to $30,000 for a new OEM probe, so a failed probe is tested before it is replaced.
  • Service contract. Priced per year as a percentage of the system value, and the percentage moves with what it covers, the platform and its age, the number of probes under the agreement, the response time and where the site is; whether probes are covered, which probes and up to what value is the clause that decides whether a contract is complete.
  • Consumables. Gel, probe covers, disinfectant and print media.
  • Cleaning and disinfection compliance. Using an agent that is not on the manufacturer’s approved list is a common cause of probe damage, and it voids cover.
  • Annual QA. Recurring, and expected under accreditation.

Our ultrasound service, repair and probe testing page explains the four plan shapes (time and materials, preventive maintenance, shared service and full service), how probes are tested and what happens when one fails; what it costs to run an ultrasound machine on the ultrasound guide covers the same list for every maker. A probe repair is normally a fraction of a replacement, and testing the probe properly, including an air scan for element dropout, is the step most often skipped.

Checklist

Which GE Ultrasound Should You Buy?

Five questions settle which GE ultrasound to buy.

  • Which family? Logiq for general imaging, radiology and shared service; Voluson for obstetrics, gynecology and 3D/4D; Vivid for echocardiography, stress echo and TEE; Venue for emergency, critical care, anesthesia and vascular access; a Logiq e for a clinic or a vascular access team where budget leads; the Vivid iq for cardiology on the move. The ultrasound guide’s specialty table and the portable guide’s settings list cover the caseloads.
  • Cart or portable? A cart when the system stays in one or two rooms and the caseload needs the full probe set and the premium packages; a portable when it travels between rooms or sites and ruggedness, boot time and battery matter more than image refinement. Portable vs cart-based is compared on the portable guide.
  • Which generation? The Logiq E10, Voluson E10 and Vivid E95 when the support horizon and the current probe family matter, which is most hospital buyers; the Logiq S8, Voluson S8 and Vivid S70 when a current platform is wanted at a mid-range price; the Logiq E9, Voluson E8 and Vivid E9 when budget leads and the probe set is complete, because an out-of-production platform prices at the bottom of its band.
  • Which configuration? Price the probe list, the licensed packages and the software release, not the console: a Logiq E10 with five probes and the elastography and contrast packages and a Logiq E10 with two probes and the base software are a tier apart.
  • What does the survey say? On any used GE: an air scan on every probe, the probe port assemblies, the display, the software release and which licenses transfer, the service history and, on a portable, the battery’s charge capacity. The ultrasound guide’s buying checklist covers the rest.

Tell us what you scan and the rooms you have, and we will recommend two or three GE systems at the right tier with delivery, training and a service plan in the quote. Current units are on the ultrasound machines for sale page and in the ultrasound machines category.

What is the GE Logiq E9 price, and how does it compare with the Logiq E10?
A GE Logiq E9 price is $35,000 to $55,000 refurbished through MO Select with a tested probe set; it was GE's premium general imaging cart from 2008 to 2018 and is out of production, so there is no new figure. A GE Logiq E10 price is $60,000 to $90,000 refurbished; it is the current premium platform, estimated at $120,000 to $200,000 new and not sold new by Medical Outfitters. The gap between them is the generation, the probe family and the support horizon.
How much does a GE Voluson cost?
A GE Voluson price is $60,000 to $90,000 refurbished for a Voluson E10, $35,000 to $55,000 for a Voluson E8 and $35,000 to $50,000 for a Voluson S8, through MO Select, delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set. New Voluson systems are estimated at $90,000 to $200,000 and are not sold new by Medical Outfitters.

The GE Vivid price for the mid-range Vivid S70 is $40,000 to $60,000, for the out-of-production Vivid E9 $35,000 to $55,000 and for the portable Vivid iq $25,000 to $40,000; a tested refurbished TEE probe adds $6,000 to $15,000 and a new one $15,000 to $30,000.
How much does a GE Venue cost?
A GE Venue or Venue Go costs $22,000 to $40,000 refurbished through MO Select, delivered, trained and warrantied with a tested probe set; new, the Venue is estimated at $35,000 to $60,000 and the Venue Go at $35,000 to $50,000, comparison only, and neither is sold new by Medical Outfitters. The Venue is the GE point-of-care system for emergency, critical care, anesthesia and vascular access, priced with the other portables on our portable ultrasound machine price guide.
How much does a GE Logiq e cost?
A GE Logiq e costs $15,000 to $28,000 refurbished through MO Select, delivered, trained and warrantied with a tested probe set, which makes it the lowest-priced GE system we supply and the usual laptop for a clinic, a vascular access team or a veterinary practice. New, it is estimated at $35,000 to $50,000, comparison only; it is not sold new by Medical Outfitters.
How much does a new GE ultrasound machine cost?
Medical Outfitters does not sell GE ultrasound systems new and does not source them new; every GE system we supply is pre-owned, refurbished through MO Select. For comparison, the current GE carts (Logiq E10 and S8, Voluson E10 and S8, Vivid E95 and S70) are estimated at $90,000 to $200,000 new and the current portables (Logiq e, Vivid iq, Venue and Venue Go) at $35,000 to $60,000, the new cells of our ultrasound guide's GE rows. The systems we sell new are the Fujifilm ARIETTA, Lisendo and Sonosite lines, at $35,000 to $200,000 by class.
Does Medical Outfitters sell GE ultrasound machines?
Yes, refurbished: the Logiq E10, E9 and S8, the Voluson E10, E8 and S8, the Vivid E95, E9, S70 and iq, the Logiq e and the Venue, rebuilt through MO Select, our in-house refurbishment program, each delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. We do not sell or source GE systems new, and we do not supply the Vscan Air handheld. We service the GE systems we sell and test and repair their probes with the same engineers who rebuild them.
Which GE ultrasound is the cheapest?
A refurbished Logiq e at $15,000, the bottom of the GE portable band, delivered, trained and warrantied with a tested probe set. Among the carts, a Logiq E9, Logiq S8, Voluson E8 or Voluson S8 at $35,000, the bottom of the GE cart band; the Vivid E9 is the cheapest GE cardiac cart at $35,000 and the Venue the cheapest GE point-of-care system at $22,000.
Is a used GE ultrasound a good buy?
Usually, which is why GE is one of the two makes we refurbish through MO Select: the installed base keeps probes, parts and engineers plentiful and the platforms are durable. The checks are an air scan on every probe for element dropout, the probe port assemblies, the display, the software release and which licensed packages transfer, the service history and, on a portable, the battery; an out-of-production platform (Logiq E9, Voluson E8, Vivid E9) prices at the bottom of its band because its probe supply is the thing that gets scarce first.
How much does a GE Vscan Air cost?
Medical Outfitters does not supply the Vscan Air CL or SL, so no GE figure is published; handheld scanners run $4,000 to $12,000 refurbished and $9,000 to $18,000 new as a market reference for single-probe app-based units. For a clinic or a point-of-care program a portable with two tested probes, training and a warranty, such as a refurbished Logiq e or Venue at $15,000 to $40,000, is usually the better purchase.
Where can I find a GE ultrasound machine for sale?
Our current GE units are on the ultrasound machines for sale page and in the ultrasound machines category: Logiq, Voluson, Vivid and Venue systems refurbished through MO Select, each delivered, installed and warrantied with a tested probe set. Inventory changes weekly; if you are looking for a used GE ultrasound machine in a particular configuration or with a particular probe set, tell us what you scan and we will find it.
