We do, alongside the de-installation and the installation. Medical Outfitters is a medical imaging equipment supplier based in Miami, Florida. We handle crating, freight, transport, storage and delivery for imaging systems across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
Logistics is usually treated as a separate contract, and that is where imaging projects come apart. The freight company does not know why the magnet has to stay upright, and the rigging crew does not know when the truck is coming. We do the de-installation and rigging and the transport, so there is one party accountable from the old room to the new one.
How Is an MRI or CT Actually Transported?

- Crating to specification Shock-sensitive assets with alignment tolerances, not general freight

Some systems carry cryogens or sealed sources, which brings transport regulation into the plan. What About Storage Between Projects?
Systems frequently need to sit between a de-installation and a destination being ready. A building runs late, a permit lands slowly, a replacement arrives before the room is cleared. Imaging equipment storage has to be climate-appropriate and secure rather than any available warehouse space, because a system that corrodes in storage has cost more than the storage saved.
This is also the usual answer when a facility is closing or consolidating faster than a sale completes. If selling is the better route, we buy used imaging equipment and remove it ourselves.
Shipping to Puerto Rico and the Caribbean
Puerto Rico sits inside the United States customs territory, so a system shipped from the mainland clears as a domestic movement and pays no customs duty. IVU still applies, and the Jones Act requires US-flagged vessels on that route, which carries a freight premium.
The wider Caribbean is a foreign customs territory and applies its own duty and consumption tax whatever the port of departure.
