Pre-owned inventory moves quickly, and much of it is sourced for a specific buyer: we locate a system that matches the model, configuration and budget you give us, inspect it, refurbish it under MO Select where it qualifies, and install it. What to check before buying a used MRI machine

Ask about the magnet first: helium level and boil-off history, cold head hours and whether it was replaced, and any quench on record. Then gradient and coil condition, the software level and whether the OEM still supports it, and the service history with dates and parts. A used MRI is sold in the condition it left the last site, usually with a basic function test. A refurbished MRI has been inspected, had worn parts replaced, had image quality verified against specification and carries a warranty. MO Select systems are refurbished to that standard by our own engineers.

Do refurbished MRI machines come with a warranty?

Yes. Every MO Select MRI ships with a written parts and labor warranty, and the term is written into the quote along with delivery, installation and applications training.

Should I buy a 1.5T or a 3T refurbished MRI?

1.5T covers general radiology, orthopedics and most outpatient work with lower siting and cryogen demands. 3T suits neuro, MSK and research imaging where resolution and speed carry the referral base. We help you decide from the exams you plan to run.
