Refurbished PET/CT Scanners for Sale
Refurbished and used PET/CT scanners sourced and installed by Medical Outfitters. PET/CT is a sourced-on-request line: we locate the system that matches your detector, slice count and budget requirements, inspect it, refurbish it under MO Select and install it with our own crews across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. For budgets and what drives them, read our PET/CT scanner cost guide.
Refurbished PET/CT scanners sourced on request
Not every refurbished PET/CT scanner we can supply is listed on this page. Pre-owned inventory moves quickly, and much of it is sourced for a specific buyer: we locate a system that matches the model, configuration and budget you give us, inspect it, refurbish it under MO Select where it qualifies, and install it. If you do not see the model you want below, send us the specification and we will quote what is available. We also take trade-ins and buy outright; see sell or trade in used imaging equipment.
What MO Select refurbished means
MO Select is the in-house refurbishment program at Medical Outfitters. A system carrying the badge was inspected and tested by our own engineers in Miami before it was listed, worn parts were addressed, image quality was verified against specification, and it ships with a written warranty. The same crews that refurbished it deliver, install, calibrate and service it afterwards, backed by over 20,000 parts in stock. Read the full standard on our refurbished medical imaging equipment page.
What to check before buying a used PET/CT scanner
Two machines are being bought at once. On the PET side, ask for detector type and crystal material, time-of-flight capability, sensitivity test results and any detector block replacements. On the CT side, ask for tube history in scan seconds and mAs, slice count and software level. Then confirm OEM support status for the platform, because a PET/CT that the manufacturer no longer supports needs a parts plan before it is bought. Our PET scanner explainer covers the technology, and our inspection checklist covers the paperwork.
Siting a PET/CT
A PET/CT room needs shielding designed for positron energies, a hot lab and uptake rooms that meet your state radiation control rules, a floor rated for the gantry and power and cooling for the CT. We review drawings before we quote so the site work is part of the plan, not a surprise after delivery.
Refurbished PET/CT FAQ
Do you have refurbished PET/CT scanners in stock?
PET/CT systems are sourced for each buyer rather than stocked. Send us the slice count, detector requirements and budget and we will quote what is available.
Which PET/CT brands can you source?
GE Discovery, Siemens Biograph and Philips systems are the platforms most often available on the pre-owned market, and we quote whichever matches your specification and support plan.
Can a refurbished PET/CT be used for oncology, cardiology and neurology?
Yes, provided the software licenses for the protocols you need are included. We confirm the installed options before the system is quoted.
Do you handle the shielding and licensing paperwork?
We coordinate the shielding design with your physicist and provide the equipment documentation your state radiation control program asks for. The license itself is applied for by the facility.
Tell us the PET/CT scanner you have in mind, the room it is going into and your timeline, and we will come back with what we have or can source, with delivery and installation included.
