The Siemens MAGNETOM Skyra is a 3T wide bore MRI with a 70 cm opening on the Tim 4G and Dot platform. It is the 3T counterpart to the Aera and shares much of its workflow.

Medical Outfitters supplies the refurbished MAGNETOM Skyra under the MO Select line, fully tested and with a warranty included.

Why choose 3T over 1.5T?

A 3T system gives higher signal, which helps thin slice neuro and musculoskeletal imaging. It is not automatically better for every exam, so the choice follows your case mix.

Does the Skyra need a bigger room than a 1.5T?

Siting differs by model and by site. We survey the room and confirm shielding, power and access before anything ships.

Is a refurbished 3T reliable?

A refurbished 3T is as reliable as the refurbishment behind it. Our engineers strip, renew and test each system, and it ships with a warranty included.

What about cryogens and helium?

We handle cryogenics as part of our service work. It is one of the reasons we do not subcontract MRI support.

Can you take our old system away?

Yes. De-installation and removal are part of what we do, and it can be folded into the same project as the new install.
