Overview

Fujifilm Bronchoscope System Overview

Authorized Fujifilm bronchoscope system supplier. Fujifilm brings imaging, electronic, and ultrasound technology together to support doctors across many clinical settings. Because respiratory disease often requires both diagnosis and therapy, this lineup covers standard, treatment, slim, and ultrasonic scopes. As a result, physicians can match the right scope to each airway and each procedure.

The flagship EB-580S uses a high-resolution Super CCD and a close-focus capability down to 2 mm. In addition, its 210° upward bending eases access to hard-to-reach parts of the upper lobe bronchus. When paired with the VP-7000 or EP-6000 processor, the system also adds LCI, BLI, and BLI-bright observation modes for sharper detail.

Key Features

Fujifilm Bronchoscope System Features

Every scope in this range targets a specific clinical need, from slim pediatric access to therapeutic suction. Therefore the platform scales from routine observation to endobronchial ultrasound puncture.

The 580 series uses a high-resolution Super CCD that produces vivid, high-quality images. Because close focus reaches down to 2 mm, physicians can study bronchial lesions and lung cancer in fine detail. In addition, Multi-Light Technology blends white light with short-wavelength light to create LCI and BLI images.

LCI helps reveal surface pattern and vessels of the trachea and bronchus using a natural tone. BLI delivers high-contrast images of microvascular and microsurface patterns. Furthermore, BLI-bright emphasizes mucosal structures in middle and far views with a brighter result.

The EB-580S bends 210° upward, so it reaches the upper lobe bronchus more easily. Its 2.2 mm instrument channel also improves suction, which helps recover vision quickly during bleeding or forceps biopsy. The EB-580T steps up to a 2.8 mm channel for treatment.

For endobronchial ultrasound, the EB-530US adds a 10° forward oblique view and a slim 6.7 mm distal end. Because the channel opening stays visible in the endoscopic image, the physician can monitor the needle during puncture. Paired with the SU-1, the scope supports B-mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler, and Pulse wave imaging.

Multi-Light Technology

Multi-Light Technology controls the intensity ratio between multiple lights with precision. White light depicts subjects in natural color, while short-wavelength light raises the contrast of fine vessels and mucosal surface layers. As a result, the processor delivers white light, LCI, and BLI images from the same exam.

Use Cases

Clinical Applications

The Fujifilm bronchoscope system supports a broad span of respiratory work. Here are six common scenarios.

Workflow

Clinical Workflow

The platform moves smoothly from observation to ultrasound-guided treatment. Each step uses matched scopes and processors.

Begin with a standard scope such as the EB-580S or EB-530S. Because the Super CCD delivers vivid HDTV images, the team can survey the trachea and bronchi quickly. White light gives a natural baseline view.

Switch on LCI, BLI, or BLI-bright when paired with the VP-7000 or EP-6000. These modes raise contrast for fine vessels and mucosal surfaces. As a result, suspicious areas stand out before biopsy.

Move to a treatment scope when therapy is needed. The EB-580T offers a 2.8 mm channel, while the EB-530XT reaches 3.2 mm. Enhanced suction helps recover vision during bleeding or forceps biopsy.

Use the EB-530US with the SU-1 processor for endobronchial ultrasound. The 10° forward oblique view improves maneuverability. In addition, B-mode, Color Doppler, and Pulse wave imaging support precise puncture.

Reach deeper lesions with the SP-900 and PB2020-M probe system. Its 20 MHz radial probe and short distal rigid section insert smoothly into the upper lobe bronchus. Therefore the team can image peripheral targets even with the endoscope fully bent.

Compliance

Compliance and Quality

The Fujifilm bronchoscope system carries the regulatory identifiers stated in the manufacturer documentation. Medical Outfitters supplies it under a certified quality system.

The video bronchoscopes are listed as Video Endoscope, GMDN 17662, generic name flexible video bronchoscope, reusable. The EB-530US is listed as Ultrasonic Endoscope, GMDN 44921, flexible ultrasound bronchoscope.

The processors are listed under GMDN 18034 and GMDN 34540, endoscopic video image processor and light source/processing unit. The light sources fall under GMDN 35158. The ultrasonic processors are listed under GMDN 40761.

The processors run on AC 100 to 240V at 50 or 60 Hz, as stated on the spec sheets. The BL-7000 uses a 300W xenon main lamp with a 75W halogen emergency lamp. Always confirm site power before installation.

Medical Outfitters Inc. operates an ISO 13485:2016 certified quality management system for medical imaging equipment. Therefore every Fujifilm bronchoscope system order ships with documented sourcing and handling. Our Miami team supports specification review and fulfillment.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Fujifilm bronchoscope system.

The 580 series includes the EB-580S standard scope and the EB-580T treatment scope. Both use a high-resolution Super CCD. The EB-580S adds 210° upward bending and a 2.2 mm channel.

The EB-530US is the ultrasonic bronchoscope. It has a 10° forward oblique view and a 6.7 mm distal end. Paired with the SU-1, it supports B-mode, Color Doppler, and Pulse wave imaging.

These are special light observation modes. LCI highlights surface pattern and vessels with a natural tone. BLI raises contrast for microvascular detail, and BLI-bright brightens middle and far views.

No. LCI, BLI, and BLI-bright work when the EB-580S runs with the VP-7000 or EP-6000 processor. Therefore the processor choice affects which modes you can use.

The EB-530P is the slim type with a 3.8 mm distal end. Because it is narrow, it suits pediatric bronchoscopy. It carries a 1.2 mm instrument channel.

Treatment scopes offer larger channels. The EB-580T and EB-530T use 2.8 mm, while the EB-530XT uses 3.2 mm. Larger channels improve suction and accessory options.

It is a compact ultrasonic probe system. The 20 MHz PB2020-M probe inserts smoothly into the upper lobe bronchus. The system can run stand-alone or as part of an endoscopy setup.
