Published 28 October 2026. Prices are Medical Outfitters ranges for a system delivered, installed and warrantied, quoted individually for every site, and they are the Hologic rows of our mammography machine cost guide as published on 26 October 2026. Specifications are Hologic’s published figures as recorded on that guide, with the platform dates from Hologic’s own announcements; the configuration of a specific unit is confirmed from its serial number and system data before we quote. Written by the Medical Outfitters sales and field engineering team.

Quick answer: A Hologic mammography machine costs $40,000 to $95,000 refurbished as a 2D system (Selenia, Selenia Dimensions 2D) and $110,000 to $225,000 refurbished with tomosynthesis (Selenia Dimensions 3D, 3Dimensions), sourced refurbished on request by Medical Outfitters and delivered, installed and warrantied; Medical Outfitters is not a Hologic dealer and does not sell Hologic systems new, and new Hologic systems are estimated at $150,000 to $500,000 by platform, comparison only.

A Hologic mammography machine costs $40,000 to $95,000 refurbished as a 2D digital system and $110,000 to $225,000 refurbished as a 3D tomosynthesis system, sourced refurbished on request and delivered, installed and warrantied. Refurbished, that is a Selenia at the bottom of the 2D band, a Selenia Dimensions in its 2D configuration across the top of it, a Selenia Dimensions 3D through the middle of the tomosynthesis band and a 3Dimensions at the top. Medical Outfitters is not a Hologic dealer: it does not sell Hologic systems new and does not source them new, and every Hologic mammography machine it supplies is pre-owned, found for the configuration a buyer names, tested against the Hologic specification and quoted to the same delivered, installed and warrantied standard as the Fujifilm systems it sells new in the United States and Puerto Rico and the Planmed systems it sells new in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico. The new figures on this page are estimates printed for comparison. These are the Hologic rows of our mammography machine cost guide, gathered on one page.

Hologic built the installed base of digital mammography in the United States: the Selenia brought the amorphous selenium direct-conversion detector to full-field digital imaging, the Selenia Dimensions was the first platform the FDA approved for tomosynthesis, and the 3Dimensions is the premium platform most breast centers run today. That is why Hologic systems dominate the used market, and why a Hologic mammography machine price is mostly a question of platform, tomosynthesis license and detector age rather than badge. This guide covers what a Hologic mammography machine costs by type, by model, by generation and by configuration, what a sourced-on-request quote includes, what a new Hologic costs, how Hologic compares with GE, Siemens, Fujifilm and Planmed, what MQSA and the room add, and which Hologic system to buy.

Pricing

How Much Does a Hologic Mammography Machine Cost?

A Hologic mammography machine price is set by 2D versus 3D first and by platform second, because the tomosynthesis license is the single largest step on any mammography quote and the Dimensions gantry is the same hardware in both configurations. The figures are Medical Outfitters ranges for a system delivered, installed and warrantied with a standard paddle set and acquisition workstation; a refurbished Hologic saves 40 to 60 percent against the new system on the same platform. Headline prices published elsewhere are usually equipment-only figures, before delivery, rigging, installation and calibration, so they read lower than a real all-in cost.

The same question arrives as Hologic mammography machine price, Hologic mammography machine cost, Hologic mammogram machine price, Hologic mammogram machine cost, Hologic 3D mammography machine price and Hologic Selenia Dimensions price, and the table answers all of them. Searches for a Hologic mammography machine for sale or a used Hologic mammography machine land on the refurbished rows, which is the only way Medical Outfitters supplies Hologic; a Hologic unit is found to order for the configuration you name, and the systems we hold are in the mammography machines category. A Hologic figure quoted without delivery, installation and a warranty is an equipment-only price, and a figure quoted without the license list and the detector’s last phantom results is not a usable number at all.

What a Hologic mammography machine price includes

Before you compare two Hologic quotes, compare what is in them. The gap between a cheap one and an expensive one is usually scope rather than the machine, and on a Hologic the scope lines are the same ones our mammography guide lists for every system.

LineWhat to confirm on a Hologic quote
The systemGantry, tube, detector, standard paddle set and the acquisition workstation, with the tomosynthesis, synthesized 2D, contrast and biopsy options listed by name
Licensed softwareWhich options are enabled on this serial number, and whether they transfer on a used system
Delivery, rigging and installationIncluded in every Medical Outfitters quote, with calibration to manufacturer specification
Physics and MQSAWho coordinates the medical physicist's acceptance survey and the MQSA paperwork before the first patient
Applications trainingOn-site training for technologists, especially for tomosynthesis positioning and biopsy
WarrantyTerm, and whether the detector and the tube are covered
Quoted separatelyReading workstation and 5 megapixel monitors, PACS and CAD or AI software, room shielding where required, extra paddles, biopsy add-on, accreditation fees

Averages hide the platform split. Across the Hologic systems we quote, a refurbished 2D Hologic lands in the upper half of its band delivered and installed, because the Selenia Dimensions outnumbers the original Selenia on the used market and prices above it, and a refurbished Hologic tomosynthesis system lands in the middle of its band, because the Selenia Dimensions 3D is the configuration most sites buy and the 3Dimensions is the one they price. An average Hologic mammography machine cost quoted without the platform and the license list is not a usable number.

Price List

Hologic Mammography Machine Price by Model (2026): Selenia, Selenia Dimensions, 3Dimensions and Envision

The Hologic mammography machine price list below places the five Hologic platforms inside the bands above, exactly as our mammography guide prints them. Each is sourced refurbished on request, tested against the Hologic specification, delivered and installed by our own crews and covered by a written warranty that states whether the detector and the tube are inside it. Each row’s new figure is an estimated list price for Hologic’s current version of that platform, printed for comparison only; a discontinued platform carries no new figure.

Hologic mammography machine price by model, Medical Outfitters ranges delivered, installed and warrantied with a standard paddle set and acquisition workstation; the rows are the Hologic rows of the mammography guide’s price list.

Three notes on the rows. A Hologic Selenia Dimensions price depends on the license first and the detector second: the same gantry runs as a 2D system at $60,000 to $95,000 and as a tomosynthesis system at $110,000 to $175,000, so the Hologic Selenia Dimensions cost a buyer should plan for is set by whether the 3D license is on the serial number, not by the year on the data plate. A Hologic 3Dimensions price is a premium-tier price, $160,000 to $225,000, because the Clarity HD detector, Intelligent 2D and the biopsy and contrast options are current-generation features that still sell new; the Hologic 3Dimensions cost that lands at the top of the range is a unit with the biopsy option fitted and the newest detector. And a Hologic Envision has no band yet, because the 2024 platform has not reached the secondary market; a pre-owned Envision is quoted per unit when one appears. The original Selenia, at $40,000 to $70,000, is the value entry while Hologic still supports it.

Generations

Hologic Mammography Price by Generation: Selenia, Dimensions, 3Dimensions and Envision

Hologic’s full-field digital history divides into four generations on the used market, and the price follows them.

GenerationPlatformsMedical Outfitters range, all-inStatus
Selenia, 2002 to about 2010Selenia 2D FFDM: the first Hologic full-field digital platform, built on the amorphous selenium direct-conversion detector that every later Hologic system kept$40,000 to $70,000, sourced refurbished on requestDiscontinued; the value entry to a Hologic system while Hologic still supports it
Selenia Dimensions, 2008 to about 2017Selenia Dimensions in the 2D configuration (2008) and with tomosynthesis (FDA approval 2011, the first in the United States); C-View synthesized 2D and the upright biopsy option added across the life of the platform$60,000 to $95,000 (2D) and $110,000 to $175,000 (3D), sourced refurbished on requestThe Hologic platform most buyers price; the most common used tomosynthesis purchase

Used Hologic mammography machine: what sets the price inside the band

On a used Hologic mammography machine the year of manufacture matters less than it does on a CT or an MRI, because the detector is the component that ages and the one that sets the economic life, and the software level and the license list decide what the unit can do. Hologic, GE and Siemens dominate the installed base, so they dominate the used market, and a refurbished Selenia Dimensions is how many clinics add mammography affordably. What we check before any Hologic unit is priced:

  • Detector. Generation, calibration history and the most recent flat-field and phantom results. A detector nearing the end of its life turns a bargain into a replacement bill
  • Tube. Exposure count and the date of the last tube change
  • Licenses. Tomosynthesis, synthesized 2D, contrast and biopsy options enabled on that serial number, and whether Hologic will transfer them
  • Software level. Whether the platform is still supported, because an unsupported system can fail its next MQSA inspection on a software issue
  • Paddles and accessories. The full paddle set, magnification stand and biopsy hardware, each of which is expensive to buy separately
  • Compliance records. QC logs, physics surveys and the accreditation history of the room it came from

Those six lines are the difference between a used Hologic that passes its mammography equipment evaluation on the first visit and one that needs a detector before it examines a patient. The used imaging equipment inspection checklist covers the survey for every modality, and the mammography guide’s used-market section sets the same checks beside the GE and Siemens platforms.

Configurations

Hologic Mammography Price by Configuration: Tomosynthesis License, Detector, Biopsy and Software

A Hologic quote is described by four things, and the table below is how the used market labels them: the platform, the tomosynthesis license, the detector generation and the options fitted. The ranges are the Hologic model rows of the mammography guide; the configurations sit inside them.

ConfigurationMedical Outfitters range, all-inWhat it buys
Selenia, 2D, earlier-generation detector$40,000 to $70,000The original full-field digital platform while Hologic still supports it; the software level and the detector's last flat-field and phantom results decide whether a unit is a good buy
Selenia Dimensions, 2D configuration, no tomosynthesis license$60,000 to $95,000The Dimensions gantry and detector run as a 2D system; the question to settle on the serial number is whether the tomosynthesis license and hardware can still be added
Selenia Dimensions 3D, tomosynthesis with C-View synthesized 2D$110,000 to $175,000First and second generation Hologic tomosynthesis; the detector generation, the synthesized 2D license and the paddle set place a unit inside the range
Selenia Dimensions 3D with the upright biopsy option fittedThe top of the $110,000 to $175,000 rangeStereotactic or tomosynthesis-guided biopsy on the unit; the option is fitted and licensed per serial number and rarely bought separately for less
3Dimensions, Clarity HD, Intelligent 2D, biopsy and contrast options$160,000 to $225,000The current premium platform; the newest detector generation, SmartCurve paddles, and the biopsy and contrast licenses move a unit to the top of the range
EnvisionQuoted per unit when units appearThe 2024 platform; not yet on the secondary market

Hologic mammography machine price by configuration; every row is sourced refurbished on request, delivered, installed and warrantied.

  • Tomosynthesis license. The single largest step. A Dimensions gantry with the 3D license and hardware is a $110,000 to $175,000 system; the same gantry without it is a $60,000 to $95,000 system. Hologic licenses tomosynthesis, synthesized 2D, contrast and biopsy per serial number, and a license does not always transfer with a used unit, so confirm each one in writing before the price is agreed.
  • Detector. Every Hologic platform uses a direct-conversion amorphous selenium detector, and its generation, calibration history and most recent flat-field and phantom results drive the refurbished price more than any other component; the Clarity HD detector is what separates a 3Dimensions from a Selenia Dimensions 3D.
  • Synthesized 2D, contrast and biopsy options. C-View on the Dimensions and Intelligent 2D on the 3Dimensions replace the separate 2D exposure; the contrast option and the upright stereotactic or tomosynthesis-guided biopsy option are each fitted or licensed separately and move a unit to the top of its range.
  • Software and AI. Computer-aided detection and AI triage or density software are licensed separately and rarely transfer with a used system; price them as new lines if the program needs them.
  • Workstation, monitors and paddles. The acquisition workstation comes with the system; a radiologist reading workstation with 5 megapixel or 12 megapixel mammography monitors is usually a separate line, and a full paddle set, SmartCurve or curved paddles and the magnification stand are quoted per item on a used system.
  • Support status. The Selenia Dimensions and the 3Dimensions are supported platforms with the largest installed base in the United States; the original Selenia is discontinued and prices at the bottom of its band, and an unsupported software level can fail its next MQSA inspection, which is why the software level is part of the quote.
Sourced on Request

Sourced Refurbished on Request: What a Hologic Mammography Quote Includes

Medical Outfitters sells Fujifilm mammography systems new as an authorized dealer, sells Planmed Clarity systems new to customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico and not in the United States or Puerto Rico, and supplies the Koning Vera breast CT. Hologic systems are supplied a different way: sourced refurbished on request, which means we find a specific Selenia, Selenia Dimensions or 3Dimensions for the configuration a buyer names, test it, and quote it to the same delivered, installed and warrantied standard. Medical Outfitters is not a Hologic dealer; we install, calibrate and service Hologic mammography systems, including systems bought elsewhere, and we keep them certified.

  • The system, tested to specification: the detector’s flat-field and phantom results, the tube’s exposure count, the compression force and thickness accuracy, the gantry sweep on a tomosynthesis unit, and the tomosynthesis, synthesized 2D, contrast and biopsy licenses confirmed on the serial number.
  • Delivery, rigging and installation by our own crews across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, with calibration to the Hologic specification and coordination of the medical physicist’s acceptance survey before the first patient; installation, rigging and de-installation and delivery and logistics are in-house.
  • Applications training and a written warranty, with the detector and the tube named inside it, and a service plan offered in the same quote through our engineers, backed by more than 20,000 parts in stock in Miami.
  • Found to order. A Hologic configuration is sourced against the platform, the license list and the paddle set you name; the quote states the year of manufacture, the software level and the delivery date of the specific unit, and a Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle sold new, or a Planmed Clarity for customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico, is quoted beside it when a new system does the same work for a comparable all-in price.

The refurbished imaging equipment page explains what a Medical Outfitters refurbished system includes, and refurbished versus OEM certified explains how a dealer rebuild differs from a manufacturer-refurbished unit; the systems we hold are in the mammography machines category. If you are replacing rather than adding, we also buy used mammography systems.

New Systems

New Hologic Mammography Machine Price: Selenia Dimensions, 3Dimensions and Envision

Medical Outfitters is not a Hologic dealer: it does not sell Hologic mammography machines new and does not source them new; our new-equipment range in mammography is Fujifilm in the United States and Puerto Rico and Planmed Clarity for customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico, and every Hologic system we supply is pre-owned, sourced refurbished on request. The new bands on this page are estimates of current list pricing, printed for comparison only: $150,000 to $220,000 for a Selenia Dimensions in its 2D configuration, $250,000 to $350,000 for a Selenia Dimensions 3D and $300,000 to $500,000 for a 3Dimensions, the new cells of our mammography guide’s Hologic rows.

  • Selenia Dimensions. Still sold new by Hologic in both configurations; estimated at $150,000 to $220,000 as a 2D system and $250,000 to $350,000 with tomosynthesis, comparison only. Refurbished, the same platform is the most common used tomosynthesis purchase in the country.
  • 3Dimensions. The current premium platform, estimated new at $300,000 to $500,000 depending on the detector, biopsy and contrast options, comparison only; refurbished units run $160,000 to $225,000.
  • Envision. Hologic’s newest tomosynthesis platform, launched in 2024; no new estimate is printed and no refurbished band exists yet, because units have not reached the secondary market. A pre-owned Envision is quoted per unit when one appears.
  • The alternative sold new: the Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle, FDA approved for 2D, tomosynthesis and contrast-enhanced mammography, which Medical Outfitters sells new as an authorized dealer at $180,000 to $225,000 as a 2D system and $235,000 to $295,000 with tomosynthesis, with the biopsy package from about $65,000 (2D) or $80,000 (3D) and contrast-enhanced mammography from about $50,000; and, for customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico only, the Planmed Clarity 2D at $110,000 to $180,000 and Clarity S at $120,000 to $190,000, both FDA cleared but not sold by Medical Outfitters in the United States or Puerto Rico. For customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico the Planmed Clarity 3D at $250,000 to $380,000 is sold new, and the non-FDA Fujifilm AMULET Sophinity 3D system is sold new in the Caribbean and the Dominican Republic, quoted on request. All are priced on the mammography guide’s price list.

Comparison

Hologic vs GE, Siemens, Fujifilm and Planmed Mammography Price

Brand moves a mammography quote less than the tomosynthesis license does: a refurbished 2D Hologic, GE or Siemens sits in the same $40,000 to $95,000 band, and a refurbished tomosynthesis system from any of the three sits in the $95,000 to $225,000 band. What separates two quotes is the detector’s age, the license list, the biopsy and contrast options and the support horizon. The table places each Hologic platform against its GE and Siemens equivalent, sourced refurbished on request, and against the Fujifilm systems Medical Outfitters sells new and the Planmed systems it sells new in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico, from the mammography guide’s price list.

Four things are specific to Hologic in that comparison. Hologic has the largest installed base in the United States, so a Selenia Dimensions is the easiest tomosynthesis platform to find pre-owned, the easiest to find parts and engineers for, and the one most readers were trained on. Hologic’s tomosynthesis sweeps a narrow 15 degree arc, where the Siemens MAMMOMAT Revelation sweeps a 50 degree wide angle, which is a clinical preference rather than a price line; both sit in the same premium band refurbished. Every Hologic platform uses a direct-conversion amorphous selenium detector, so detector age is read the same way across the Selenia, the Dimensions and the 3Dimensions, and it is the first line of any Hologic survey. And Hologic is the brand whose options are most often licensed per serial number, so the license list weighs more on a Hologic quote than on most. On image quality the current premium platforms from all three makers compare well, which is the one rule our mammography machine cost guide carries through every tier; the exam economics are the same whichever gantry stands in the room, and its exam-cost section sets out the Medicare rates and what a mammogram costs a patient.

Installation and Running Cost

Installation, MQSA and Running Cost on a Hologic Mammography System

A Hologic mammography room is one of the easier imaging rooms to build. The tube runs at low voltage, so the lead shielding a qualified medical physicist specifies is modest compared with a general X-ray room, and the footprint of a Dimensions or 3Dimensions gantry fits a standard exam room, with clearance for the gantry sweep on a tomosynthesis unit. What the room needs beyond the gantry is an acquisition workstation, a reading workstation with mammography monitors, PACS connectivity and, in the United States, the MQSA framework: certification by the FDA, accreditation by an FDA-approved body every three years, the physicist’s acceptance survey at installation and an annual survey after it, and qualified technologists and interpreting physicians. Our X-ray room size and requirements post covers the principles of the room, and the mammography guide’s program cost table lists every line of a breast imaging program and how it is priced.

LineWhat it coversHow it is priced

Reading workstation and mammography monitorsA diagnostic reading station with a pair of FDA-cleared 5 megapixel or 12 megapixel displays, quoted as its own lineQuoted per station with the system

Running cost follows the detector and the tube. A full-coverage service contract priced per year as a percentage of system value, with the detector and the tube inside it, is the clause that decides whether a Hologic contract is complete, because the amorphous selenium detector is the component that ends a system’s economic life and the one no used-market buyer wants to replace uncovered. Preventive maintenance on a Hologic covers detector calibration and flat-field checks, tube and generator output, compression force and thickness accuracy, mechanical checks on the gantry sweep and paddles, and the documentation the accreditation body and the MQSA inspector ask for. Our X-ray, fluoroscopy and mammography service page sets out the response commitments, what a preventive maintenance visit covers and how a contract is priced; service coverage is not conditional on having bought the system from us.

Checklist

Which Hologic Mammography Machine Should You Buy?

Five questions settle which Hologic mammography machine to buy.

  • 2D or tomosynthesis? A Selenia Dimensions 3D or a 3Dimensions for a program that screens dense-breast populations, runs diagnostic work or wants tomosynthesis-guided biopsy, which is most programs today; a Selenia or a Selenia Dimensions 2D for a lower-volume screening site that will stay in 2D. If a program starting in 2D expects to add 3D, buy the Dimensions platform rather than the original Selenia, and confirm on the serial number that the tomosynthesis license and hardware can still be added.
  • Which generation? The Selenia Dimensions when budget leads and the support horizon is confirmed, which is most buyers; the 3Dimensions when the Clarity HD detector, Intelligent 2D, the contrast option or the newest biopsy workflow matters, or when the program will keep the unit the longest; the original Selenia only when budget decides everything and the software level is supportable.
  • Which configuration? Price the license list, the detector and the options, not the data plate: a Dimensions 3D with the biopsy option, C-View and a full paddle set and a Dimensions 3D with the base license are a tier apart, and a 3Dimensions with the contrast and biopsy options is a different purchase from one without them.
  • What does the survey say? On any used Hologic: the detector’s flat-field and phantom results, the tube’s exposure count, the licenses enabled and whether Hologic will transfer them, the software level, the paddle set and biopsy hardware, and the QC logs and physics surveys of the room it came from. The used imaging equipment inspection checklist covers the rest.
  • What completes the program? A reading workstation with mammography monitors, the biopsy and specimen imaging side of the pathway, which has its own biopsy systems and specimen imaging categories, and the MQSA side: accreditation, the physicist and the QC program are part of the cost of owning the system. For the operating-room end of a breast program, the Neoprobe cost guide prices gamma detection by configuration.

Tell us your screening volume, whether you biopsy and the room you have, and we will find two or three Hologic systems at the right tier with delivery, installation, the physicist’s survey and a service plan in the quote, or tell you where a Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle sold new, or a Planmed Clarity for customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico, does the same work for a comparable all-in price. The systems we hold are in the mammography machines category, and every modality is priced side by side in our radiology equipment cost table.

FAQ

Hologic Mammography Machine Price: Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Hologic mammography machine cost?
A Hologic mammography machine costs $40,000 to $95,000 refurbished as a 2D system and $110,000 to $225,000 refurbished with tomosynthesis, sourced refurbished on request by Medical Outfitters and delivered, installed and warrantied: the Selenia at $40,000 to $70,000, the Selenia Dimensions at $60,000 to $95,000 in its 2D configuration and $110,000 to $175,000 with tomosynthesis, and the 3Dimensions at $160,000 to $225,000. Medical Outfitters is not a Hologic dealer and does not sell Hologic systems new; new Hologic systems are estimated at $150,000 to $500,000 by platform, comparison only.
How much does a Hologic Selenia Dimensions cost?
A Hologic Selenia Dimensions costs $60,000 to $95,000 refurbished in its 2D configuration and $110,000 to $175,000 refurbished with tomosynthesis, sourced on request, delivered, installed and warrantied; the license list and the detector's age place a unit inside the range, with the upright biopsy option taking the top of it. New, the Selenia Dimensions is estimated at $150,000 to $220,000 as a 2D system and $250,000 to $350,000 with tomosynthesis, comparison only, and is not sold new by Medical Outfitters.
How much does a Hologic 3Dimensions cost?
A Hologic 3Dimensions costs $160,000 to $225,000 refurbished, sourced on request, delivered, installed and warrantied, with the Clarity HD detector, Intelligent 2D and the biopsy and contrast options placing a unit inside the range. New, the 3Dimensions is estimated at $300,000 to $500,000 depending on options, comparison only; Medical Outfitters does not sell Hologic systems new.
How much does a Hologic 3D mammography machine cost?
A Hologic 3D mammography machine costs $110,000 to $225,000 refurbished, delivered, installed and warrantied: $110,000 to $175,000 for a Selenia Dimensions 3D and $160,000 to $225,000 for a 3Dimensions, both sourced refurbished on request. The difference buys the newer detector, Intelligent 2D and the current biopsy and contrast options. Hologic systems are not sold new by Medical Outfitters; a new Selenia Dimensions 3D is estimated at $250,000 to $350,000 and a new 3Dimensions at $300,000 to $500,000, comparison only.
How much does a used Hologic Selenia cost?
A used Hologic Selenia, the original 2D full-field digital platform, costs $40,000 to $70,000 refurbished from Medical Outfitters, sourced on request, delivered, installed and warrantied. It is discontinued, so the price depends on whether Hologic still supports its software level and on the detector's last flat-field and phantom results; it cannot be upgraded to tomosynthesis, which is why a program that expects to add 3D should buy the Dimensions platform instead.
How much does a new Hologic mammography machine cost?
Medical Outfitters is not a Hologic dealer and does not sell Hologic mammography machines new or source them new; every Hologic system we supply is pre-owned, sourced refurbished on request. For comparison, a new Selenia Dimensions is estimated at $150,000 to $220,000 as a 2D system and $250,000 to $350,000 with tomosynthesis, and a new 3Dimensions at $300,000 to $500,000, the new cells of our mammography machine cost guide's Hologic rows. The systems we sell new are the Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle, at $180,000 to $225,000 in 2D and $235,000 to $295,000 with tomosynthesis, and, for customers in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico only, the Planmed Clarity 2D and Clarity S, at $110,000 to $190,000.
Does Medical Outfitters sell Hologic mammography machines?
Yes, refurbished: the Selenia, the Selenia Dimensions in both configurations and the 3Dimensions, sourced refurbished on request for the configuration you name, each tested against the Hologic specification, delivered, installed and warrantied across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, with the physicist's acceptance survey coordinated before the first patient. We are not a Hologic dealer and do not sell or source Hologic systems new. We install, calibrate and service Hologic mammography systems, including systems bought elsewhere.
Which Hologic mammography machine is the cheapest?
A refurbished Selenia 2D at $40,000, the bottom of the Hologic 2D band, sourced on request, delivered, installed and warrantied. The cheapest Dimensions is a Selenia Dimensions in its 2D configuration at $60,000, and the cheapest Hologic tomosynthesis system a Selenia Dimensions 3D with the base license at $110,000.
Is a used Hologic mammography machine a good buy?
Usually, provided the detector and the license list are right: the Selenia Dimensions and the 3Dimensions are supported platforms with the largest installed base in the United States, parts and engineers are easy to find, and a refurbished Dimensions 3D is how many clinics add tomosynthesis affordably. The checks are the detector's flat-field and phantom results, the tube's exposure count, the licenses enabled on the serial number and whether Hologic will transfer them, the software level, the paddle set and the QC and physics records; the original Selenia is discontinued and prices accordingly.
Can a Hologic Selenia Dimensions 2D be upgraded to 3D?
Often, because the Dimensions gantry was built for tomosynthesis and Hologic sold the 2D configuration as upgradeable, but it depends on the serial number: the tomosynthesis license and the hardware it needs are confirmed with Hologic for the specific unit before we price it as a 3D-ready system. The original Selenia cannot be upgraded. No single upgrade figure is published, because the license price follows the unit; where an upgrade is not possible, a refurbished Selenia Dimensions 3D at $110,000 to $175,000 is the route.
What is the Hologic Envision, and can I buy one refurbished?
The Envision is Hologic's newest tomosynthesis platform, launched in 2024. It has not reached the secondary market, so no refurbished band exists and no new estimate is printed; Medical Outfitters sources a pre-owned Envision on request when units appear and quotes it per unit. Most buyers who want a current premium Hologic platform refurbished choose a 3Dimensions at $160,000 to $225,000.
Where can I find a Hologic mammography machine for sale?
A Hologic mammography machine is sourced refurbished on request rather than listed from stock: tell us the platform, the license list and the paddle set you need and we will find a Selenia, Selenia Dimensions or 3Dimensions, test it and quote it delivered, installed and warrantied. The systems we hold, including the Fujifilm platforms we sell new and the Planmed platforms we sell new in Latin America and the Caribbean outside Puerto Rico, are in the mammography machines category, and a used Hologic mammography machine in a particular configuration is found the same way.
